BRIDAL NEWS
Lombardo’s
Eric Caron, and his fabulous culinary creations!
NEW Executive Chef,
Busy! Busy! Busy! That’s the word to
describe New England Bride Comes To Life’s
recent sold-out Bridal Show in Randolph,
MA at Lombardo’s, 781-986-5000. Not
only did our brides and grooms-to-be
enjoy visiting the show’s many vendors,
and thrill to the incredible music, but some
lucky brides even won hundreds of dollars,
and one bride won free honeymoon! They
were also rapturous in their reviews of the
cuisine at Lombardo’s. In addition to an
elaborate Cheese & Charcuterie Display,
and 3 gorgeous Salads, guests dined on
10 varieties of hors d’oeuvres, from BBQ
Braised Chicken in a Phyllo Cup to Cheese
Arepas with Avocado & Lime Salad. 4 Entrée
samplings, from Short Ribs with Horseradish
Mashed Potatoes to Pan Seared Salmon
with Spring Herb Risotto won over the
elated crowd. These stellar gastronomic
creations were the work of Lombardo’s
talented new Executive Chef, Eric Caron.
A native New Englander, Chef Eric’s
training began at the Southern Maine Tech
for Culinary Arts in South Portland, and
in Nutrition Sciences at the University of
Maine, Orono. With an impressive culinary
career in the hospitality industry as chef
and instructor, Eric can boast of an 11+ year
career at one of Boston’s most prestigious
landmark hotels.
Chef’s Eric’s dedication to providing the
best and freshest ingredients in his cooking
was evident the evening of the bridal
show at Lombardo’s. For the record, Chef’s
Eric’s hobbies include family time, hiking,
kayaking, running, swimming, gardening
and photography. Since Eric has this great
culinary background, we wanted to know if
he has any personal guilty food pleasures. “I
love Coconut Ice Cream and ANY Desserts,”
says Eric. How about a least favorite food?
“It’s a toss up between turnips and goat
cheese.” Make sure you say hello to Chef
Eric if you see him when you’re visiting
Lombardo’s (but please don’t offer him any
turnips.)
Missed, our fall Lombardo’s show? No
worries, we’ll be back in February 2015 at
Lombardo’s again. Tickets will be available
in December! Y

Ice Scream Social
e’re not kidding with that title. Just so you’re not
confused – here’s the scoop (no pun intended.) New
England Bride’s recent New England Bride Comes To
Life Bridal Show at Oceanview of Nahant was a smash
success. One of the vendors present was Ice Scream Social,
800-275-0185. Get this, it was a picture perfect ice cream truck
parked outside the venue. The
brides & grooms-to-be attending
the show were handed ice
cream novelties as they were
departing. What a great idea for
your wedding reception!
According to Mike Gallant,
Owner, “This is the perfect oneof-a-kind
lasting impression for
your wedding. Can’t you picture
yourselves, the Bride & Groom,
in your gown and tuxedo, inside
the ice cream truck, handing out
Orange Cream Bars or Chocolate
Eclair Bars as your guests are
leaving your fabulous reception?
6 NEW ENGLAND BRIDE November 2014
We can amp it up with a customized digital wrap on the truck
with your names on it! It’s different, it’s fun and who doesn’t
love an ice cream novelty? Not only that – think of the numerous
Photo Ops you’ll have. I know your guests will be laughing and
shaking their heads when they see you and your customized
vintage ice cream truck. It brings out the kid in everybody, and
it adds that extra touch to your
reception that will make it truly
unique.”
Ice Scream Social carries
about 10 ice cream novelties for
you to choose from, and you can
order them for a set number.
Contact Mike Gallant,
Owner, at 800-275-0185 for
more information, and please
inquire about the digital wrap
with your names on it. As we’ve
said before, you only get to
do it once, make it memorable
and make it fun! This should do
the trick. Y
